The Next Generation of Battery Safety

We partnered with Popwheels to accelerate the deployment of their safe, certified e-bike battery swap network, tackling the urban challenge of lithium-ion battery safety head-on. Our engineering team is designing and fabricated their next-generation charging cabinets, ensuring they meet the stringent UL-1487 Standard for Battery Containment Enclosures- a standard yet to have been met. This rigorous work focuses on mitigating the risks of thermal runaway and containing fire hazards, while also developing components that improve system efficiency, reliability, and security for high-volume, continuous use across their fleet.
